Is there a dress code?
Yes, please refer here to see the dress code for classes.
Do you have a payment plan?
All families will be placed on a monthly installment plan. Payments are due on the 25th of each preceding month.
Do you give refunds or make-up classes for studio closures/holidays?
We guarantee students will receive on average 4 lessons per month per session so make-ups/refunds are not offered for studio closures/holidays. Some months you will receive 3 lessons, 4 lessons or 5 lessons depending on whether that particular month has a holiday or 5th week. Recital rehearsals and shows will be counted as class so no refunds or make-ups will be offered.
Do I need to re-enroll my child each session?
Students are automatically enrolled in from Fall Semester into Spring Semester. You must re-enroll for summer sessions and for the new school year. Families with outstanding balances at the end of each session will not be auto-enrolled. If you do not wish to be automatically enrolled into the next session, please email us at info@momentumdancemaui.com.
How do I unenroll my child?
Please email us at info@momentumdancemaui.com to unenroll your child. Please unenroll your child before teh 25th of the preceding month to avoid being charged for the following month.
Where can I buy shoes and dance attire?
We sell tights and leotards in the studio. We recommend Step-N-Up on Oahu for all your dance wear needs. Please go here for our pre-selected attire and studio discount.
Do you offer mult-class discounts?
Yes! Discounts are as follows:
First class: full price
2nd and 3rd classes: 10% discount
4th and 5th class: 15% discount
6th and subsequent classes: 20% discount
Do you have a registration fee?
Yes. We have an annual registration fee. $35 for the first student and $15 for each additional student.
My child just had a birthday can they move up a level?
Student must meet the minimum age requirement for a class by August 1st. Students stay in their level for entire season unless advancement is recommended by a teacher.
How early should I arrive before my class?
Dancers should arrive 5-10 minutes before the start of their class. Doors will open 15 minutes before the first class of the day. If you arrive before this and see teachers walking in, please be patient and wait. The teachers need time to settle in before students start arriving.
My child is sick, what do I do?
You can record your child’s absence and schedule a makeup class in your parent portal.
Can I just show up for a make up class?
No, please sign up ahead of time as there are a limited number of make up slots available.
Do you do shows?
Yes! We do an annual production of Nutcracker Sweets in the winter (by audition) and a Spring Show which all performance classes participate in. Visit the 'important dates' page for show dates. Exact performance dates and times for each class will be posted in the Spring.
Do you have a competition team?
Yes! Competition Team is by audition only. Auditions are held in May for the following season. You can inquire about team by emailing Competition@MomentumDanceMaui.com
